I’m a huge fan of the classic cat-eye and always have a black eyeliner in my makeup kit. Lately, however, I’ve been drawn to the bright and peppy feel of coloured liners and the visual impact they create! If you are a fan of statement looks or are just looking to experiment a little, here are 7 products that I would recommend.
1. NYX Vivid Bright’s Liner In ‘Vivid Halo’
Cheerful, yet trendy, this pastel yellow liner is quite the beauty. Not only does the colour add an unexpected touch to your lids, but also subtly brightens up the eyes.
2. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner In ‘Snow’
Are you a fan of minimalistic and edgy looks? Turn to this crisp white formula. Whether you opt for a tiny flick or go all out with a graphic look, you can be sure that the spotlight will be on you.
3. MAC Chromagraphic Pencil In ‘Basic Red’
Not many people think of using red on their eyes. However, once you try out this intense shade, you will be hooked! This creamy pencil deposits a true red hue that looks fierce and fabulous.
4. Fenty Beauty Vivid Liquid Eyeliner Trio In ‘Baeside’
This set of 3 is what got me curious about coloured liners in the first place. Whilst ‘Papaya Mama’, a bold orange, and ‘Lime Feva’, a neon greenish-yellow, stand out, it’s the periwinkle blue of ‘Skinny Dip’ that has me lusting after this trio.
5. Revlon ColorStay Exactify Liquid Liner In ‘Mermaid Blue’
With its metallic finish and beautiful teal hue, this liquid liner is perfect for those looking for a little sparkle. The wheel-style tip promises precision so that you can draw on your cat-eye, without worrying about it smudging.
6. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil In ‘Woodstock’
Pink-based looks are having a major moment right now. To hop on to the trend, you need to get your hands on this pigmented pencil. The hot pink hue is guaranteed to make your eyes pop, whilst the micro-flecks of silver glitter will add depth and dimension to your look.
7. Dior Diorshow On Stage Liner In ‘451 Matte Pastel Green’
This minty. soft green is one of the most beautiful shades I’ve come across recently. Although the shade is quite subtle, it enhances the eyes beautifully.
If you are planning on trying any (or all!) of these eyeliners out, it’s best to pair them with a black mascara so that you can create a contrast between your lids and lashes.
